Hey there! I'm Jes, the proud owner of Altered Hair Design!

While I absolutely adore traveling and exploring new places, the greater Madison area will always hold a special place in my heart as my forever home. I enjoy spending time outdoors, diving into a good book, tackling home renovations, nurturing my veggie garden, and having fun with my partner and our two dogs.

With 15 fabulous years as a hairstylist under my belt, it was the transformative year of 2020 that inspired me to open my very own studio, and I instantly knew this was where I'm meant to be. I’m thrilled to provide gender-neutral services and create a welcoming space for everyone.

My passion shines brightest when it comes to wavy and curly custom haircuts. After dedicating countless hours mastering wavy and curly techniques, I can confidently say it’s one of my specialties! And if you’re looking for custom color magic—from bold fashion colors to covering natural sparkles or especially my favorite, redheads and copper tones— I'd be so excited to be the one you entrust with your hair!
